Exploring Learning Environments and PBL at the Croft School - Jamaica Plain

One of the highlights of this year’s conference is the unique opportunity to visit The Croft School -Jamaica Plain, a student-centered school founded in 2020 that inspires curiosity, problem-solving, and a love of learning. Guided by its ethos—Rigor, Spark, Heart, Joy, and Belonging—and built on a model of student-centeredness, balance, strong relationships, outstanding teachers, and a diverse, inclusive, anti-racist community, Croft provides a rich and meaningful schooling experience for every student.

During the tour, participants will explore Preschool–Grade 2 classrooms, view ongoing project documentation and student work, and talk directly with teachers. Attendees will see artifacts and work-in-progress that illustrate how young learners engage in meaningful, inquiry-based PBL units within thoughtfully designed, learner-centered environments. This tour offers a rare opportunity to explore early childhood project-based learning firsthand and talk with the educators who bring it to life.
