Mission, Vision and Values

At Early Childhood PBL, we believe young children are not only capable of leading their own learning—they thrive when they do. We partner with teachers, coaches, and school leaders to bring Project Based Learning to life in ways that are developmentally appropriate, inspiring, and doable across a wide range of early learning settings—from preschool environments to early elementary classrooms. Whether you're just getting started or ready to go deeper, our professional learning experiences support meaningful, inquiry-driven teaching that sparks curiosity, builds independence, and creates joyful, collaborative classrooms.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to partner with early childhood educators as they design and facilitate meaningful, developmentally grounded learning experiences through Project Based Learning. We recognize that PBL with young children looks and feels different—and we honor those differences by offering tools, ideas, and support tailored specifically to early learning environments. Our work helps educators create joyful, authentic opportunities that reflect the identities, interests, and needs of their students—no matter the classroom or community context.

Our Core Values

  • Young Children Are Capable Learners: We believe young children come to school with rich knowledge, diverse experiences, and natural curiosity, making them capable of complex learning and discovery.

  • Curiosity, Exploration, and Play: We honor and nurture children’s curiosity, creating opportunities for meaningful, hands-on learning that sparks imagination, promotes exploration, and supports learning through play.

  • Developmentally Appropriate Practices: We prioritize practices that meet children where they are, offering learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and reflective of their developmental needs.

  • Authentic, Relevant Learning: We focus on creating learning opportunities that are connected to children’s lives, cultures, and communities, making learning meaningful, inclusive, and rooted in a sense of belonging.

  • Empowering Educators: We equip educators with the tools, support, and training they need to effectively implement Project Based Learning and inspire deeper, joyful classroom experiences.
