Present at the Fourth Annual Early Childhood PBL Conference
February 11 and 12, 2027
Join us in shaping two days of inspiring professional learning for educators who believe in the power of inquiry, play, and Project Based Learning with young children.
We invite proposals from classroom teachers, instructional coaches, school and district leaders, university faculty, researchers, and other professionals who are passionate about supporting children ages 3–8 through meaningful Project Based Learning experiences.
Whether you're sharing classroom practice, leadership, coaching, or innovative approaches to teaching and learning, we'd love to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
The strongest conference sessions model the kinds of learning experiences we hope children have every day—active, collaborative, reflective, and joyful.
We're looking for sessions that:
Connect clearly to Early Childhood Project Based Learning.
Engage participants through interactive learning.
Include opportunities for discussion, reflection, and application.
Share practical ideas, classroom examples, or resources that participants can immediately use.
Are inclusive and relevant to educators working with children ages 3–8.
Conference sessions are facilitated in collaborative table groups rather than lecture-style rows, and we encourage presenters to design learning experiences that actively involve participants.
Suggested Topics
Many of these ideas were suggested by attendees at previous conferences and reflect the professional learning interests of our community.
We welcome proposals on topics such as:
Authentic project examples and classroom stories
Project planning and facilitation
Balancing district curriculum, standards, and PBL
Integrating mathematics into Early Childhood PBL
Universal Design for Learning in Early Childhood PBL
Documentation and assessment
Family and community partnerships
Inclusive and multi-age classrooms
Reggio-inspired practice and PBL
Coaching, leadership, and schoolwide implementation
Play, creativity, the arts, STEM, and design
Lesson planning and managing day-to-day learning in a PBL classroom
We also welcome proposals beyond these topics.
Presenter Information
Applicants will be asked to submit:
Presenter information and biography
Session title and description
Learning outcomes
Information about participant engagement
A 3–5 minute facilitation video
Your facilitation video does not need to include a live audience or cover your proposed conference topic. We simply want to experience your facilitation style and see how you engage adult learners.
Accepted presenters receive a discounted conference registration and are encouraged to participate fully in the conference as both presenters and learners.
